Wealth does not Last Forever

So I was helping a friend to search the internet using Google to find out what business one can do that will last for many generations, one that you can pass over to your children and they can pass over to theirs, and so on. Most investments are volatile, real estate go up but also crash, shares the same, fixed deposits and treasury bills appear good, but the currency could lose value. One could start a business such as a saloon, restaurant, pharmacy or a farm but you are not sure it will last for a long time. So I was not praying or anything like that, but just doing a business research, however rather

Be a Living Sacrifice

What is a sacrifice? The dictionary defines a religious sacrifice as anything consecrated or holy and offered to God. So in the old days and still today in some cultures people offer animals and kill them unto God.  Sacrifices are very important each time a person’s sacrifice is given unto God he receives a big reward. In the old testament we read on Noah, in Genesis 8 he built an altar to God and sacrificed every clean animal and bird, and God made a covenant with him never to destroy the entire earth again. In Genesis 22, Abraham was willing to sacrifice his son Isaac unto God and God made a covenant with him that

Purpose Brings Rest

I will start with an illustration using mathematics. Several people are afraid of math because they think it is difficult, but all math ends with arithmetic, meaning addition, subtraction, division and multiplication. So, whether it is calculus, geometry or algebra, the math would rest in arithmetic. This also happens in stories, if I tell you that once upon a time in a great land there lived a beautiful princess……, If I end the story there you  will not be pleased, you want to know more, you want to know what happened to the princess. God made us desire completion or rest. See what the bible says in Genesis 2:2-3,“ And on the seventh day God

Enjoy Your Life

Ecclesiastes 11: 9 says, “You who are young, be happy while you are young, and let your heart give you joy in the days of your youth. Follow the ways of your heart and whatever your eyes see, but know that for all these things  God will bring you into judgment.” Some people feel that God is a strict Father that does not want His children to enjoy life, but to suffer. This is not true, on the contrary all forms of enjoyment come from God, He created them. However He places rules so that it is not abused because no matter how good something is, once it is misused or abused it becomes bad.

Life is a Battle

Life in general is a battle or war. Once you are alive you are fighting a battle. There is something in your blood called the white blood cells and they protect you from disease and give you immunity. If your white blood cells have an issue it could be a problem because there are thousands of diseases that want to kill you at every point in time, and you will not be able to defend yourself. Beyond the physical battle your body fights, there is a more important battle which is the spiritual battle. Mathew 11:12 says, “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the
